After being picked up from your hotel the tour starts with views along the Kata – Karon Viewpoint overlooking stunning beaches, marking just the beginning of your morning. Head to the elephant camp where you will embark on a ride into the tropical rainforest along an old mining trail route that winds its way up to Nakkerd Hills. Visible from most of the island, behold the majestic Big Buddha at the highest point in Phuket before proceeding to Wat Chalong, Phuket’s most revered monastery.
Next we visit a traditional cashew nut factory to discover more about the famous local product, before continuing to the oldest Chinese temple where you will learn about Chinese influence on the island. Our final stop is a 100-year old Chinese mansion built in Sino-Portuguese style where films such as “Young Indiana Jones” and “Heaven and Earth” were filmed.
