Mandalay was the royal capital of Myanmar and it is still heart of Burmese culture today. Mandalay Hill is the best place to introduce Mandalay city, to catch a glimpse in the morning or enjoy sun set, before or after your day touring.
Our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in the morning and start the trip by visiting Golden Palace Monastery- one of the finest wooden construction of 19th century wooden in Burma. This monastery that is also known as another name Shwenandaw Kyaung with exquisite wood carvings and it used to be part of the Mandalay Royal Palace.
The next place will be Kuthodaw pagoda, famous for houseing the “Biggest book in the World” named after the 729 marble slabs inscribed with Buddhist teachings and this is a complex of a gilded pagoda, hundreds of shrines and several pavilions.
Next we head to Kyauk Taw gyi pagoda with its huge Marble Buddha, carved from a single block of white marble from the Sagyin Hill. This tour offers a great introduction to Mandalay and a memorable half day touring.
